Kids tennis lessons in Singapore.
Where they fall in love with the game — and build skills for life.
Every child learns differently. Some need encouragement, some need a challenge, some just need to have fun before anything clicks. At Pure Sport, our ITF Gold recognised coaches adapt every session to your child — their age, their confidence, their pace. Because when a child enjoys what they're doing, progress takes care of itself.
The movements learnt at six are the ones that never need unlearning.
A child who learns to swing before they can balance spends the next ten years correcting it. That is why our youngest sessions look like games rather than lessons: coordination, hand-eye work, body awareness — the foundations that make every stroke easier later on. We teach the right movements early, so bad habits never form.
And we keep it enjoyable on purpose. A child who doesn't enjoy it won't come back, and a child who doesn't come back doesn't progress. Fun is not the reward for the work here — it is part of the method.
Three stages before the teenage years.
We group children by age and ability, so nobody is bored and nobody is out of their depth.
- Ages 4–6 — Coordination games, mini-racquets, and lots of encouragement. We build motor skills through play — no drills, no pressure. Your child leaves every session buzzing.
- Ages 7–9 — Real strokes, real rallies, real fun. Children begin learning forehand, backhand, and serve through structured play.
- Age 10 — Technique refinement, match strategy, and mental focus. For children who want to compete or simply want to get seriously good. The Pure Method applied to every session. From 11, players continue on our Teen Tennis programme.
How we teach: The Pure Method.
Every session follows our four-pillar approach — adapted for younger players. Same order, every week, so your child always knows where they are.
Personalised diagnostic
We watch your child play before we coach. What do they enjoy? Where do they struggle? What makes them light up?
Progressive technique
Close correction first, then space to rally, then structured points. Learning through doing, not lecturing.
Movement science
Age-appropriate biomechanics. We teach the right movements early, so bad habits never form.
The fun factor
If a child doesn't enjoy it, they won't come back. Our coaches make every session something your child looks forward to.
Five levels, one game.
The Galaxy Tennis programme puts the game at the heart of learning, and encourages children to play matches while respecting the values of sport. Children move through five levels — the court and the ball growing with them — while their coach keeps assessing their skills during Game and Match sessions.
- White fieldWhite ball · 20 cm
An 8 m court, played without a net.
- Purple fieldPurple ball · 12–15 cm
An 11 m court, net at 0.50 m.
- Red fieldRed ball · 7.5 cm
A 12.8 m court, net at 0.80 m.
- Orange fieldOrange ball
An 18 m court, net at 0.80 m.
- Green fieldGreen ball
A traditional full-size tennis court.
When a child wants to compete.
Some juniors reach a point where recreational sessions aren't enough. They want to be tested. They want to win. That moment usually arrives once they are playing on the full court — and it does not have to be the goal for everyone.
Competition preparation at Pure Sport is structured, not improvised. It begins with an in-depth evaluation — stroke quality, movement patterns, tactical awareness, mental resilience — then clear three-month and six-month goals agreed with the parent and the player. From there: biomechanical stroke correction, point construction and pattern play, and finally pre-match routines, between-point management and recovery.
We recommend at least green field level in the Galaxy system, or equivalent match-play experience. Book an assessment and we will advise honestly whether your child is ready. Competition training is led by Anthony Claudot — ITF Gold recognised, 20 years of coaching across 7 countries — and is offered as private sessions or small groups of two or three players at a similar level. No overcrowded squads.
We prepare players for competition; tournament registration stays with the parent. We will guide you on which events suit your child's level and development stage.

What parents ask us first.
What age can my child start tennis lessons?
We welcome children from age four. Sessions for ages 4 to 6 focus on coordination and fun through play. No prior experience needed.
Do you offer group lessons for kids?
Yes. Group sessions of three or four children are available from SGD 40 per player. We group by age and ability so every child gets the right challenge.
What is the Galaxy Tennis programme?
Galaxy Tennis is the junior progression we follow, for ages 4 to 10. Five levels — white, purple, red, orange then green — each with its own court size and ball, so children rally and play matches from the very first session. The five levels are set out in full on this page.
How do I know which level my child is at?
Book a first lesson and our coach will assess your child's current ability. We'll recommend the right starting level — no test, no pressure.
How long does it take to move between levels?
It depends on the child. Some progress in a few months; others take longer. There is no fixed timeline — progression is based on criteria, not calendar.
Can my child join at any level?
Yes. We assess every child individually and place them at the right level, regardless of age. A ten-year-old beginner starts at White, and that is perfectly fine.
What should my child bring to their first lesson?
Comfortable sportswear and a water bottle. We provide racquets for younger children if needed — the white and purple levels in particular. Sunscreen recommended for outdoor sessions.
How much does the Galaxy Tennis programme cost?
The Junior Tennis Academy runs at SGD 590 per player for a 15-hour block. Individual sessions follow our standard pricing, from SGD 40 per player for groups.
Where do kids tennis lessons take place?
We coach across 20 neighbourhoods in Singapore — mostly at condo and club courts near you. Tell us your area and we will find the closest option.
